I was shocked by the death of Steve Lacy June 4 Shortly after, I started playing Tips, composition extracted of book "Findings" (published by Outre Mesure). I first recorded only in multi-track recording then I asked musician friends participation. I arranged the composition from day to day. The technique of multi-track recording seems very close to painting. The artist adds shapes and colors in layers. Tips consists of 14 aphorisms of the painter George Braque (Gallimard). I made samples extracted from the re-issue "Scratching the seventies" edited by Saravah. Steve is one of the most original composers of the twentieth century. His music will always be among us.
